Starr is 77′ long, is 18’6″ wide, has a 6’6″ draft, and weighs about 100 tons. It holds 3850 gallons of fuel, 800 gallons of fresh water (it can also make its own fresh water), and, depending on engine RPM, uses between 0.6 to 1.6 gallons of fuel per mile. Starr has a single 400 hp Cummins diesel engine, and two 20KW Northern Lights diesel generators.
The lower level includes the lazarette, engine room, laundry area, and two guest rooms. Moving forward, on a slightly raised level, is the master stateroom and finally the crew cabin in the bow. Each room has its own head. The main deck level has the salon, galley and raised pilothouse. The boat deck is home to three kayaks, a rowing dory, and the tender, a 15′ Novurania RIB. A flying bridge is located above the pilothouse. The foredeck area has storage and the anchoring system.
